Quick follow-up to Alternative Transportation Week: Courtesy of Business Week and Gizmag.com, here's a great article on The Air Car, a new vehicle being produced in limited quantities (3,000 a year for now) by Moteur Development International (MDI), based in Luxembourg and the South of France. The vehicle, the MiniC.A.T., is fueled by compressed air, with a top speed of 68 MPH and a range of 200-300 KM.
If partnerships are the key to the success of a small, tightly-held family start-up like MDI, their pact with India's automotive juggernaut Tata Motors is one reason to be incredibly Optimistic about the prospects of the Air Car.
Thanks to Molly Lavik at Startup Time (much more to come on Startup Time!) for the tip!
